Session 6 – The Way

Bottom Line: God’s way is always best.

Key Question: What does it look like to follow God?

Bible Truth: Exodus 19-20, 34 — God calls His people to be set apart from the world around us. We live differently because we belong to Him and we represent Him (1 Peter 2:9). God gave His people the 10 Commandments because they reflect God’s heart. We are called to live out this way of love, and therefore be a light in the darkness so others would come to know the love of God. Jesus summed up all the law and commandments by telling us to: Love God and love people. Following God starts with loving Him first and then loving others around us. We don’t just follow God though! We are sent - commissioned - to go and live as His light in the world (Matthew 28:19-20).
